JARED DINES x MATT HEAFY Release Collab

Trivium vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy has teamed up with Youtube sensation Jared Dines to release a new single, after weeks of teasing a form of 'collaboration' on social media.

For quite some time now, Jared Dines has been hounded by his fans (jokingly, of course) to start an onlyfans account (we can only speculate why), but Dines was insistent that he would only participate in the fan-funded website if Matt Heafy of Trivium would be in his first scene. Offering little explanation past this, everyone assumed that this was all in good fun, and that Matt was playing along, going along with the joke. A fun back-and-forth between the two guitar heroes would play out over Instagram Stories and a post here and there over several weeks, culminating in Dines buying a plane ticket and tagging Heafy in some screenshots and a picture, saying: "Matt.. you’re supposed to be on my side here! but fine... I’ll see you on the 1st daddy let’s see who’s really got the balls now@matthewkheafy" over Instagram.

Followed shortly by Heafy's video response:

At this point, personally, I still hadn't suspected the reality of what was actually happening. These two put on a really good show, because after the alleged meeting, instead of an onlyfans and an assumedly lurid video, the pair dropped their first single and an EP collaborative effort to Youtube and Spotify.

In a hilarious exhibition of viral media marketing, these two showed not only their sense of humor, but upon listening to the songs, an incredible knack for creating music together. Let's hope this isn't the only release we see from these two. Check out the music video for '(Scene One) - “Dear Anxiety”' Below:
